Congratulations to Our 2017 PowerGirls High School Graduates!

Kalyn has been a PowerGirl since 2015. She was accepted to 18 colleges and is attending Fairfield University in Connecticut. She’s majoring in Nursing and dreams of working in Obstetrics. She graduated from Cathedral High School, was accepted into the National Honor Society and received the Medical Gateways and Public Advocate awards. She interned at Metropolitan Hospital in both the Obstetrics and Step Down units.
Dejeuné has been a PowerGirl since 2014. She was accepted to 25 colleges and is attending the University of Bridgeport. Dejeuné graduated from The Frederick Douglass Academy, made the honor roll for twelve consecutive semesters and received awards in Physics, English and Senior Council. She also received a distinguished student award from the NAACP. Dejeuné looks forward to becoming a Psychologist.
Amanda has been a PowerGirl since 2014 and is attending Brooklyn College. She was Valedictorian of her senior class at Murray Hill Academy with a perfect 4.0 G.P.A. Since becoming a PowerGirl, Amanda has studied photography, videography, and post production with her assigned mentor. She wants to work in the film industry as a cinematographer or an editor.
Awa has been a PowerGirl since 2014 and is attending Johnson C. Smith University. She graduated from Thurgood Marshall Academy and was chosen for the National Honor Society. Awa was accepted to 15 colleges and will major in Pre-Med.
Alexandra has been a PowerGirl since 2014 and currently attends CUNY – City College studying music. She was Valedictorian of her senior class at Murray Hill Academy with a perfect 4.0 G.P.A. and she started a music program in her school. Since becoming a PowerGirl, Alexandra has learned to play the piano and wants to travel and perform in the future.
